Agro-Industrial Data Platform

Use Case
Application & Logistics

The Challenge

The need was to design an architecture capable of handling the complexity of data in the agro-industrial sector. The challenge lay in integrating heterogeneous sources—from CRM and land registry data to IoT streams, images, and weather data—while ensuring both real-time and batch data ingestion. The goal was to create a secure, multi-tenant system with rigorous data governance through a centralized metadata catalog.

The Solution

A platform based on Microsoft Fabric and OneLake was developed, utilizing a “medallion” (Bronze/Silver/Gold) Lakehouse architecture. The solution uses Spark technologies for big data processing and Kafka for real-time streams, securely exposing the data through a unified API layer and GraphQL. This approach has enabled the standardization of data flows, making KPIs immediately available for business analytics.

The Benefits

The architecture provides a holistic view of assets, dramatically improving the accuracy of predictive analytics and the quality of data. The multi-tenant structure ensures data segregation and security, while process automation reduces processing times, enabling management to base strategies on verified and up-to-date data.

Humanativa’s role

HUMANATIVA led the entire process of designing and defining the data architecture. Leveraging its specialized expertise in cloud-native technologies and big data, the Group orchestrated the integration of complex microservices, establishing itself as a strategic partner for digital transformation in the agro-industrial sector.
